Rann of Kutch ride, day 5, Kala Dungar

Went up to the border to Sardar Outpost, where the CRPF fought a memorable battle in 1965. Its situated at border pillar 1115, the last border pillar number 1175 is at Sir Creek, 50 km westward. On the way back to Hodka is the highest point in all of Kutch-Kala Dungar all of 485 metres high which provides a fantastic view, almost 360 degrees, of the flooded Rann.

Why we ride...

We remember times when the weather was right, the road just so with curves one after the other and we fell into a flow where everything just became quiet. It doesn't happen often, but those moments are precious and you know they're out there waiting, maybe today, maybe next week, maybe not until next year and you can't force it, you just keep riding, you'll find them again. (these are borrowed words but we couldn't have said it better)
