Time for some TLC

My cast iron 500 is back from Chandigarh where it has been for over 2 years. The bike has been to Spiti and last July up to Uttrakhand. Now it's back in Mumbai for some TLC because the next stop is Goa for India Bike Week at the end of the month.

Apu rides again

A rebuilt Engine, all polished and chromed Apu is back on the road.

After a very very long time. Apu is back on the streets after an extensive engine rebuild. Once the engine is all run in the body work shall start and we shall get him ready for the mountains. How great it is to have him back on the road again.

So now Apu is not alone with him is yet another bike from our helmet stories stables. Hopefully by Christmas all our bikes shall be back on the roads where they belong.

Good to ride again

Thunderbird back on the road

So I finally took the Thunderbird out and rode it to office today. Awesome can't wait for Apu to get ready(truth be told may not have enough money to fill it up with gas once the bike is ready but can't wait)...

Also got to ride an old RD 350. Can't remember the last time I rode one. Maybe in college in sector 35 in Chandigarh. What an awesome bike.

Pimp our Ride

So then we have been putting this off for a while. Apu (the 500cc iron cast) has been in a bad shape. Engine has been bust for a while and the bike has been lying around gathering dust for too long now. Well its time to get it a makeover. We are going to start with the engine and then some bits here and some bits there and get Apu up and running and then send it for a paint job completing the make over. Once that is done we are going to hit the Thunderbird and give it a face lift. She runs well and we don't want to mess with the engine but we feel she can look better. So two new projects we shall be getting done soon hopefully. Look for picture updates on the blog and tell us what you think…
