The ZMR Wanderers 5th Ride

After our last wet ride to Rajasthan we were determined to go again and not get drenched in the rain. The idea was to leave Jaipur take a detour via Sambhar lake and then make it to Pushkar for the night. The next day we would find our way to Ranthambore get in a Safari spot a Tiger and then make it back to Jaipur the next morning with one hell of a story. Read about the whole ride in the May 2015 issue of Autocar India.

The ZMR Wanderers 4th Ride

March is a brilliant time to be riding in the Princley state of Rajasthan so we decided to hold the next Wanderers ride around Jaipur. The idea was to ride out of Jaipur towards the Shekarwati District spend the night and make our way down to Alwar for another night and then make our way back to Jaipur. The plan was sound and we were all very excited to head out and explore but it seemed the weather gods had other ideas. Read about it the April Issue of Autocar India.

Riding the sands of Rajasthan

Are you looking for a place to ride with sand dunes, many a back road, hills, highways good enough to pass off as runways, more sand dunes and a dried up salt lake then don't look further than the great state of Rajasthan. We joined Royal Enfield for 10 super days of sand bashing and riding through the state this last month.
Instead of wasting time rambling on and on about the ride I think i shall just let the pictures tell you the rest of the story.

Worthy to add to your must ride list?
I think so.

Jodhpur

So we rolled into Jodhpur and I left the group and moved onto my stay with family. The bike has been put to rest as tomorrow is a rest day as we will take in the sights of the city and hit the road early Monday morning.

Hot day

Lunch

Lunch at a truckers stop. The food will be good.

Roadside Snack

Back roads

Great tarmac country roads and a cloudy day make for a great morning ride.

Gun Wagon

Debu left today to make it home for his wife's birthday so his bike was loaded into the Gun Wagon.

Day 6 - Tour of Rajasthan

Already have done about 78kms since the morning. We rode down NH15 till Devikot where we turn off onto country roads towards Jodhpur for the night. But first a hot chai while waiting for the rest to turn up.
